CHAPTER 15: Alc'Whole'

Life is easy going when your loved one is leaning on your arms and watching the daily boring soap opera, you cannot complain because when it comes to watching TV, she is the Queen and you are the servant. Eventually, you need to obey her. Huuhhh! Ever dealt with the dilemma you want to be single again when you are into Relationship? Ever got any feeling that single life was better than the engaged one? Definitely, you'll go through these feelings one day!
As things were progressing fine she leans forward and looks into Ragahav's eyes and ask one question "You didn’t tell me about Arya"
Surprised by this question he thinks about the reply. Should I tell her the truth? Or tell her a convincing story? When your beautiful girlfriend who is looking into your eyes and wants the truth from you, What you generally do? You tell the truth!
Raghav "It ended just like any other typical Bollywood story... Start. Romance.. Both decides to jump off the cliff but before the jump she says she is in relationship with someone but boy jumps without even thinking "
Shreya "No Puzzles Ragav, I know you are blogger tell me the whole story"
Raghav "You really want to dig up my past? "
Shreya "fine I'm happy being with you and you are happy with me I don’t want to know anything else? Btw tell me one thing about us.  how did we meet?"
Raghav "I have already told you that dear"
Shreya "No I want to listen to it again!
Raghav "Fine ..the second day of our training... I was late… I got into the lift and as soon the lift doors were getting closed I saw you come running and yelling "Hold the door Hold the door" you were almost going to get tumbled on the floor"
Shreya "no I never did this .. And she hits his hand.
Raghav "Ok fine I stopped the lift for you .. You were looking beautiful that day. You were in that blue Chudidar with matching round big earrings. You looked pretty that day"
Shreya "So don’t I  look pretty now?"
Raghav "uhmmmm after careful observation I realized that you a Voldemort nose!"
Shreya "Volde? Who?"
Raghav "The Dark Lord? in the Harry Potter Movie?"
Shreya "argggg!! Raghav I'm leaving I'm not talking to you henceforth"
She gets up angrily and was about to leave but he holds her hands and pulls her towards him
Raghav "arey my cutie pie you are the prettiest gal I have ever met"
Shreya "ohh really?? Ok tell me the whole story about your Arya"
Have you ever played the game Truth or Dare? But When you are playing this game with your girlfriend rules changes you have to choose both the options Truth- In this you have to tell the truth &  Dare- You have to tell the Truth.
Raghav" Ok fine"
FEB 14th
The beginning of every relationship is exciting and Valentine's day is the perfect day to express their crush/girlfriend how much they mean to you.
Raghav and Arya decide to go for Movie. How can someone concentrate on the movie when a pretty girl is sitting next to you? Raghav felt this is the time to ask her finally about their relationship status.
Holding her hands "Arya I need to ask you something important… I know you refrain from this topic a lot of times but I want to know the truth today. Do you love me?
Arya was caught off-guard with this question but she didn’t reply to his question.
Raghav "Arya are you going to say something?"
Arya "Raghav I am into a complicated relationship with someone. We were in a relationship since our school days, I don’t …"
Raghav "Stop it!"
And he leaves the movie theater without listening to her anymore
It’s easy to forget that emotional pain can hurt as much as physical pain. When you’re hurting and have been hurt by someone, it often feels as if you’ve taken a punch to the gut or a stab to the heart. And once you’re in the middle of something, it’s hard to see the end of it you are too busy feeling what you feel and experience the moment you’re in. But just as we can recover from physical pain, we can also recover from emotional pain, even if it comes from an intimate betrayal.
All the words she said was running in his head. what was this? Was this a betrayal? Was all this a love game?
With the heaviness filled in his heart with the thoughts of her words in his mind, he calls his roommate Akki
Akki "Bro! Did you kiss her?"
Raghav "She betrayed me!"
Akki knew these words were never good for someone who is new to the relationship, he knew what exactly was the solution.



It's common to seek out a way to numb the pain of being rejected (especially if you didn't see it coming). Breakups do suck, after all. So what do you do when trying to erase that person from your brain? Well... you drink.  And as it turns out, social rejection and subsequent alcohol usage go hand in hand. Engineers can be Tsundoku's and Alcoholic at the same time, but Alcohol is great solvent: It dissolves marriages families and careers.
Akki "Can you come to the Adda we will sit and talk"
After reaching The Adda. The setup was already made
Hostel days are the real days when you didn't have any money to buy college books but you got money to buy Alcohol.
Akki "Drink this Ragav. And forget her at once"
After having 2 3 shots of alcohol either you sleep or you get the energy to get the revenge.
Raghav picks up the phone call Arya
In his Slurry voice "Arya I know you don’t love me but I love you, I know you cannot love me but I can love you…"
Arya "Raghav are you ok?"
Raghav "No Not at all…"
Arya "Where are you?"
Raghav "Near your hostel"
Arya"What are you doing at this hour? Are you drunk? "
Yes, im ….come down I need to speak to you…
She hangs up the call
Raghav"Bro did she cut my call? She is mean yaar"
Akki "I know Raghav, girls are mean let's get out of here"
When the magic of Alcohol starts kicking in terrible things happen,  "Arya I hate you, I don’t wanna see you anymore!"
Akki "Raghav please don’t create a scene we will be kicked out from college!"
Raghav and Akki were eventually caught by a security guard and sent to the warden of the Boys Hostel and they were suspended for two weeks for immoral behavior.
Shreya "ohh you that seems to be convincing story. Then how come you fell in love with me?"
Raghav "it was then I met you. Sometimes you may be reluctant and even scared to get back into another relationship again, but taking a chance on love again is crucial if you want to move on. Putting your hopes in others again will show you that there are goodhearted people out there. And i fell in love with you"
Shreya "Aww! Raghav I love You!!!" and they sealed the deal with a Kiss!

CHAPTER 14: What's in a 'Name'?


Engineering Third Year… 
Never underestimate an engineer’s life! Every Engineering students life is filled with many stress factors which complicate the life. From dealing with assignments, records submissions, Lectures, back-logs, sometimes difficult faculty, taking care of attendance, forever ‘connecting WiFi’, Crushes, One-sided love stories, dreams about getting placed in one of the top MNC, you just name the things everything will be served in Engineers plate. When the final semester exam approaches everyone tries their best to get good grades through via late night studies before exam day, group studies, a quick important question from a single section of the whole subject. If nothing works from all of these Luck factors comes handy!

Mostly you’ll find 3 types of students during exams..
1 The Toppers. These guys will try to mug up every single letters from the book. Create notes of every single topic in the syllabus, make most use of college library to get the reference articles and mug up the same. They will attempt every question in question  paper and get good grades. Toppers will never miss any lectures and never participate in Mass Bunk.
2 The Turkeys. Ever wondered why is there no rain in the desert? Similar to rains you’ll find these guys occasionally attending the class. They usually have to take assistance from their friends who help them pass the exam through a crash course the night before. Their justification? “Why worry for the whole semester if you  can pass after studying for one night?” 
3 The Honest. These are the people who don’t know where their life is going. These are the guys who were advised one “Dude Go for Engineering, it has the highest scope in career..” . They might not have anything important going on. But their regular attendance does not mean that they are the brightest. They might have the highest IQ among the lot, but they are genuinely not interested in studies and grades. They occasionally take notes and sometimes ask interesting questions during the lecture.
One fine evening when everyone in Hostel was busy studying Akki comes running into Ragav room.
Akki “Hey Ragav, got 2 tickets to Mohit Chauhan's concert at Xavier’s College!!!”
Ragav “How come?”
Akki “Don’t you worry, I have arranged it everything”
Ragav “Dude don’t you want to study? Exams are near and I have to get good grades this year so that I can get qualified for Placement drives... No, you carry on”
Akki “Ragav common yar.. its just the matter of few hours and we will get back by midnight” still trying to convince him
Ragav “But…” 
Akki “No Ifs and Buts you are coming with me. That’s Final!”
Ragav had mixed feeling about whether going to a concert during finals week is worth it after long months of studies to possibly negatively affect their final score. On the other hand, after such hard work, he should reward themselves and have some fun. He chose to go to Concert.

Bob Marley Stated once “One good thing about music when it hits you, you feel no pain”. Such was the case with Ragav. All the romantic songs by Mohit Chauhan touched every single person in that concert. Concerts are a place where normal rules don’t apply. It’s not unusual to be pressed up against others who are jumping around and sweating. If you get annoyed every time someone brushes up against you without apologizing, then you’re not going to have a great time. At concerts, personal space doesn’t exist. After a long time of singing and dancing Ragav felt very thirsty, he searched for someone who could help him with his misery. He found a girl standing next to him, her soft hairs were sliding down her face. She had a bottle of water, but how could you ask for water to complete stranger? What if she doesn’t like sharing the water bottle with strangers? Suddenly her phone rings, “Appa” on her dialler screen.  Snooping into someone's phones with owners permission can be considered illegal nowadays. But little information, when you are thirsty can be useful.
She “Hello... Appa.. ” speaks in an unknown language.
Ragav thought for one moment. ‘Hmm... Appa on mobile screen.. she must be south Indian that’s for sure..  what if she’s not? I should give a try... 
Ragav “Excuse me…”
She turned towards him, she had a beautiful face with sparkling eyes, snub nose with pink lips. Ragav froze for a moment as he was experiencing the perfect moment of his life. Romantic Song in the background and a beautiful girl next to him.
She “Yes ?” 
Ragav “Hmm can I have water please?”
She, still confused “Hmm.. Ok ..”
Ragav “Thank You So Much..”
She “You are welcome..”
Ragav still trying to make conversation “ You are Tamilian right ?”
She “Yes how come you got to know?”
Ragav Trying to be honest “Hmm Actually I saw your phone screen.. so got to know... ”
She “Oh Ok”
Ragav “So what are studying?”
She “B Com 2nd Year? You? ”
Ragav “B.E 3rd Year”
She “You got any friends in our college?”
Ragav “Ya my roommate has friends here... that’s why we got the tickets.. lucky me!”
Ragav “so do you like Tamil songs or Hindi songs?”
She “I listen to mostly Tamil songs.. but I know few of the Hindi songs”
Ragav "Wow nice, actually, I'm also south Indian"
She "Ohh!"
When things were going smoothly out of nowhere other girl comes and whispers something into her ears.
She “Hey I need to go it is late.. my brother is waiting outside..”
Ragav “Ya sure.. nice meeting you”
She with the cute smile on her face “Bye”, and vanishes from the crowd.
Ragav still recalling the conversation between him and her, Akki “Dude who was she? Do you know her?” This is when he realized the worst mistake of his life he did that evening! 
Ragav “Akki I forgot to ask her name..!!!”

CHAPTER 13: The Saga Continues?

After 3 Years …

Ragav got into one of the top MNC in India after engineering through college campus recruitment. Most of the MNC are very strict to their recruiting methods, some seek for the just coding capability in the fresher and some seek multi talents i.e. you have to strong in every aspect of engineering subjects along with extracurricular activities. Just like the other MNCs, Ragav was also given an initial basic training because IT companies are not confident enough with any of new comers and are never satisfied with what you learn in engineering life.
First day at training is always ‘An Introduction’ where you are introduced to many of fresher across whole country who will be undergoing the same learning process for upcoming days. Along with their personal introduction everyone had to speak about ‘Role Model in their life’ in front of whole class, the next turn was for Ragav. He was whole confident that he will impress the class as he knew the Key points to deliver speech that he learnt in his engineering career…
           “ 1. Getting audience attention.  
              2. Perfect Introduction.
              3. Speak about something that YOU are interested in.
              4. Eye Contact with the audience.
              5. Use appropriate hand gestures and body language. “
Ragav got the hold of the mic and saw his audiences in really dull state, some were bored with this Intro thing, some maybe thinking “When will I get the snacks?” “When will this get over?” “Where will I find a new PG?” “How will I clear all the test?” “What will I buy from my first salary?” and many more imaginary concepts that you can never imagine.

“Good Morning” no response from the crowd
Raised his voice a bit “Good Morning Everyone!”. Yes he got everyone’s attention from their respective daydream.

“ Hello I’m Ragav from Kerala. I completed my education from KITs College of Engineeing from Kolhapur. And I’m True Indian!” “The reason behind the True Indian is that I was born in  Madhya Pradesh which is considered as heart of India… brought up in Maharashtra.. but my native is Kerala”
With this short intro everyone seemed to be amazed and were listening to him carefully

“About my hobbies… I love listening to Music… and I’m a blogger! I have my own blog about an Engineering guy how did he became an Engineer” till now he was going good.
“Next thing about my Role Model in Life. My Role Model in my life is founder of FaceBook Mark Zukerburg ”.  FaceBook which is considered the soft corer of every student in this century and is the most interesting topic. Till now Ragav was fine and was on the right track for perfect speech. Minding the key point “Eye Contact” in mind which is most difficult, where you have to look at your audience,who are eagerly staring and listening to what rubbish your are speaking. This is how you get sometimes fooled by wrong politicians and market sellers.

Ragav “Mark Zuckerberg is an American computer programmer and Internet entrepreneur… and …” as he was about to say the next, he saw a girl sitting in front row with sparkling eyes eagerly listening to him. A snub nose, full pink lips - she seemed the picture of perfection. Her hazel eyes framed by long lashes were the only thing that caught his attention.

Ragav still confused  “ …and.. hmmm … Mark you are beautiful!” with this statement the whole class burst into laughter. Once Napoleon said “Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another” Wait a sec on the contrary Evan Esar have stated “Think twice before you speak you'd be able to say something more insulting”.

Ragav “… sorry about that.. I was saying Mark is one of the best IT engineer in this century…” regained his lost conscious and finished his speech. Returning to his seat still embarrassed with his speech he was thinking “DUDE what was that? Who is she? She is so beautiful… I should get in touch with her… but will she accept me? What if she is already engaged… NO I should concentrate on my career… Is this love at first sight?” with all the thoughts still running in his head she stood up and started her speech

“Hello Friends I’m Shreya Mathews from Mumbai…”

Ragav still day dreaming “Shreya … nice name… Shreya Mathews… may be from Kerala… from Mumbai… cool! Ragav don’t you think we had enough love troubles in Engineering? What if she is the one for you? What if she from different caste? Will our parents accept our relationship?” Human Mind and a ladder go hand in hand, brain always says to think about the first step but by the time mind have reached to the top of ladder.

CHAPTER 12: LOVE IS ‘A’rt

LOVE and LIKE are two human behavioural phenomenon that goes hand in hand. If she LIKEs you then definitely she will LOVE you someday. One can LIKE the behaviour of someone, sense of humour or their unique styles that distinguish that person in the crowd. Such was the case with Ragav, he believed that someday Arya will definitely love him. Just he had to maintain the patience and let the Likeness upgrade to LOVE. The Best feeling in this world is when the person you Love, loves you back. Everything changes when your crush starts to like you. Ragav now had a different feeling towards Arya, like she is one of the most precious diamond in the world which needs greater attention.

Night before the last exam of semester 2 :  11:00 PM
The exam timeline of an Engineering student is the true phase where the real engineer comes to life. The first step to clear every written exam is gathering of notes from library. Students who never visited library since their last exam enter library like a celebrity. For them its like a museum  where academic books are for public viewing and borrow the same for a temporary time being. But its not necessary that everyone should get the book, some unfortunate move to next possible alternate i.e Xerox- photo copies. Sometimes the person who runs Xerox centre in college has better knowledge of syllabus than students do.     
Late night studies, revision, group studies, collecting the notes practising the diagrams, solving the problems, guessing the possible question in next paper, deciding which chapter should be omitted from syllabus, all these activities are done during the exam week.
It was last paper for Ragav, frustrated with the studies he decided to call Arya and dialled her number.

Arya “Hellooe” in her sweet voice
Ragav “hey sweetie … wassup ?”  
Arya “revising the last chapter … what about you?”
Ragav “done with first section …will start second section now...”
Arya “Whaaaat? Now? When you’ll sleep?”
Ragav “haha.. maybe tomorrow after paper”
Arya “God help you dude...”
Ragav “I was thinking can we could go for coffee tomorrow after paper??”
Arya “you asking me for a date?” with a giggle
Ragav “sort of date… because you like me now and I like you”
Arya “ahem... ahem... this is getting serious”
Ragav “OK deal done… tomorrow 5PM at Nescafe! ”
Arya “But…”
Ragav “No buts! See you tomorrow good Night…”
This was it Ragav got a chance to spend some time with her which he wanted since he saw her first time in bus.

NEXT MORNING:

8 AM:
Ragav hardly slept for 3 hours as he had to cover the second section of syllabus but manged to complete his studies.

9:45 AM: College Campus
Every student has to check the examination hall and get there by checking the roll number on the notice board. Ragav was busy trying to find his number in the crowd. Suddenly in between the crowd a soft hand caught his hands and pointed to exam hall number on the board. “WTF? This is my exam hall! How come she knows...”
Ragav still confused, got out from the crowd “Hey how come you know my seat no?” and saw her.
Arya “I could be your spy!” winked at him with her smiling.

10:00 AM:
The last hope to get passed in exam is making some deal with God and 3 hrs of creativity in writing the exam paper. With all the blessing from God take the question paper from the examiners hands and gaze at the questions. Some questions you find familiar and some not, it depends on efforts you applied in studies.

12:00 PM:
Questions seemed to be easy for Ragav and was trying to attempt every question, but he was very happy with the thought that he was going to meet Arya and was thinking about her this whole time.

1:00 PM:
After exam Ragav texted Arya “will be waiting for you … 5 PM! Nescafe ”

Nescafé 5 PM
Sometimes waiting for a girl in life is frustrating but waiting for a girl at coffee shop is torture. Ragav was waiting for Arya since 40 mins but she didn’t show up. Finally she arrived, she was in her pink top. ‘Hello Kitte ‘with a cat on her shirt and black jeans with shoes. She also had a matching pair of ear rings which increased her beauty by 2 points (final score 102/100). She looked fabulous.
Arya “Ragav so sorry … didn’t got the bus… and”
Ragav “its fine dear! I’ll keep on waiting for you ages”
Hearing this she blushed “Thank you” with a smile.
Ragav ordered the coffee and both settled at the table.
Arya “looking handsome…”
Ragav “who? me?”
Arya “no your grandpa” with a grumpy face
Ragav “hehe … thank you! and btw you are looking beautiful!”
Arya “Ya I know that…”
And there was no stopping. They got into the talking with each other about their studies, favourite food, films, songs etc just like the best friends talk. Ragav dint wanted to ask her but finally asked her
Ragav “what do you think about love?”
After thinking a bit she replied “Falling in love is like jumping off a really tall building, your brain tells you it’s not a good idea but your heart says you can fly “
Ragav “so you tried loving…”
Arya “change the topic...”
There was something wrong when it comes to love. Ragav felt this and wanted to know more but he didn’t want to push the subject more.
Ragav “so when are you going home? Tomorrow?”
Arya “yea … by 4.30 bus”
Ragav “yes… the fortunate bus!”
Arya “The coincidence bus! hehe”
Ragav “this time it will be not a coincidence because I’m also coming by same bus…”
Arya “good for both of us then… we can chat and have fun…”
Ragav “ok then tomorrow by 4.30 … make sure you bring all your stars at you side because mine are already at my side”
Arya “shut up!” and punches on his shoulder.

THE JOURNEY DAY: 4:30 PM

Ragav and Arya boarded the bus, since they had already done the reservation they need not to worry about the crowd. After getting settled in their seats Ragav took the side seat while Arya window seat. He knew this was going to be special moment for him. Time flies quickly when you are with someone and when ‘someone’ is your crush then you are in different universe. Ragav and Arya spent whole journey talking and teasing each other. Ragav felt like he knew her since ages and she is the one!
After few hours they reached a pit stop.
Ragav “This is the place where first we met”
Arya “ya… I was sleepy...hehe”
Ragav “Still you looked beautiful...” trying to be honest.
Arya “Ragav … stop flirting…” still trying to control her blushing.
As the evening turned into night, the cold wind blowing through the window and your crush sitting next to you. Perfect setup for romance!
Arya rested her head on his shoulders with closed eyes. Ragav didn’t wanted to wake her up, he took her hands in his and whispered in her ears “Arya…”
Arya “hmmm…” raised her head and looked into his eyes.
Ragav looked into her eyes “do you love me?” could hear his heart beating.
Arya with long silence “maybe but …” and tear drop fell from her eyes.
Ragav “Shhhh… Shhhh…” still trying to consolidate her “Arya I Love you”
He looked into her eyes… She looked into his eyes… and her smooth lips met his.

CHAPTER 11: Coincidence ? Maybe or Maybe not

The electricity power outage is common in India but when there’s a power cut in Hostel the whole hostel turns into a jungle book. Different animal sounds from every corner of the hostel, some become a wild cat while others to compete that cat sound maker becomes a dog. You don’t have to visit a zoo just you need to be present at right time in a hostel and you’ll encounter every animal in a hostel. The Hostel had a medical facility for students, a Doctor used to visit the hostel thrice a week. In order to make aware the students about doctor’s arrival guard used to come in every wing of the building and call out “doctor has arrived!” “डॉक्टर आले!!”

104 B and 105B were considered the most mischievous room in the Boys Hostel. Satish also the called the ‘Furious Don of H division’ was always ahead in every action in the hostel. One fine evening during the exam there was a power cut in the hostel and in the darkness Satish used his whole strength to shout “doctor has arrived! Doctor has arrived!” and the whole hostel goes into same singing tune of “doctor has arrived”

The guard on duty was pissed with this sudden madness as he tries to catch every yelling student in the hostel but didn't succeed due to darkness. Satish used to come out of his room and shout in the dark, suddenly the light glows in the hostel and epic scene ‘Shouting Satish Caught’ by the guard was encountered. Similar to the scene from movie “3idots” where Raju was caught Peeing in front of virus’s house in the dark. The angry guard caught Satish by his collar “come on my son let’s go to warden”
Warden summons the whole hostel students especially the 104B and 105B

Warden with his wide belly and high voice came rushing from his room “you scoundrels! … ill kick your ass! … what’s going on here! … act like some grownups! … this is not a mental hospital!”
Hearing this Harsh couldn’t control his laugh and starts giggling.
Warden found Harsh giggling “who is that son of B****?” and went near to Harsh and took his collar in his hand and lifts him from ground “do you think I’m joking here? I’ll punch your face with 50 mg ”
Harsh cowered in fear with warden’s action “Sorry sir!”  
Akki whispers to Ragav “dude what’s 50 mg ?? never heard of such unit”

When it comes to units of measurement during the midnight scolding everything is correct you can’t contradict Warden but just listen to everything that he says.   
Warden “every one of you will write an apology letter saying you will not do thins next time is it clear?!”
Everyone in one note "yes sir”

Returning to the room, Harsh was silent with his face showing fear.
 Akki “what’s the matter harsh”
Ragav ”he just survived 50 mg punch”  and everyone starts laughing including Harsh.
Akki “hey lets go for movie tomorrow …this will freshen up everything..”
Mac “ Duniyadari is the ongoing movie in pvr .. we can go there..”
Ragav “I’m not sure guys want to study for exam…”
Mac “one movie will not destroy your life Ragav!”
Ragav “Hmm ok will tell you tomorrow ”

Life really becomes beautiful when you have best friends around you. you just forget every sorrow when they are around you. Share the sadness with the person beside you, this will always help in positive way. There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship.

Next Morning:
Message popped in Ragavs phone…”hey Handsome what doing??” The heart always skips a beat when you receive a message from your crush.
Ragav “nothing much studying for the exams”
Arya “ohh … did you did the graphics subject…”
Ragav “yes that’s my favourite…”
Arya “crap... I’m fed up with all the lines and figures …”
Ragav “ask me anything anytime ... happy to help...”
Arya “how do understand the concept dude... ??”
Ragav “just you need to visualize every FIGURE and learn how to draw a LINE... :P”
Arya “I think you are expert in visualizing the “Figures” :D”
Ragav “yes.. from day one since I met you... :P”
Arya “anyways... I’m bored lets go somewhere... how about a movie??”
Ragav “hmm ..vokie.. but..”
Arya “what…??”
Ragav “Neva been to a movie with a gal befo :’D ”
Arya “so silly .. I’m not gonna eat you! If you feeling awkward bring your friends ”
Ragav “okkk deal… PVR then…”
Ragav declared that he will accompany with his roommates for the movie at the PVR
Mac “What changed your mind Ragav?”
Akki “I smell something fishy”
Ragav “Guys Lets go ... before I change my mind!”

Everyone reached at the PVR on time still Ragav was searching for Arya in the crowd, then he saw her near the entrance with her friends. She wore a Red top and black jeans with matching red hair band on her head . she looked fabulous and ragav couldn’t take his eyes from her.
Ragav Texted her... “luking like a Barbie Doll J”
Arya took her mobile from her pocket and replied with a smile “Hey Mr. I don’t know you right now :P”

At the ticket counter the whole Kolhapur crowd was rushing to get the tickets, luckily Ragav got the seats in the first row in front of Screen. After getting settled in their respective seats everyone was busy in chit chatting about the new movie trailer, Ragav suddenly sensed a pinch on his arms and ignored it thinking as a mosquito bite. And the second time again same pinch same arm “How come Mosquitoes became so intelligent to bite at same place? “
Annoyed with this he turned his face to the person sitting next to his seat and everything came to a  sudden halt . There she was sitting next to him “Arya” and she was saying something to him but he couldn’t hear her voice as everything in this head went quite with this surprise.
Getting right to his senses Ragav “”hmmm.. hmmm.. is this coincidence or am I dreaming ?
Arya “you are dreaming at wrong place...hehehe”
Ragav “My cute star is beside me today...” trying to hide his happiness.  
Aray whispering into his ears “now concentrate on the film dear not your cute star”
AKki “Hey ragav who is she you were talking to?”
Ragav ”she is Arya.. ”
Akki “From where did you learned to talk with a gal?? hahaha”
Ragav “shut up …. Concentrate on the movie”
Three hours’ movie are best time spend in any of the multiplex movie theaters. Especially when you are with someone special. During the movie, Ragav placed his hands on the resting arm side of the seat and accidently touched Arya’s hands. Sensing what he had done apologizes to her.
After returning to hostel he messaged Arya “How was the movie?”
Arya “was good.. enjoyed the story…”
Ragav “btw what was the story?”    
Arya “freak what were you doing during the whole movie?”
Ragav “Watching you!!”
Arya “you are crazy Mr… hehe”
Ragav “I love to see your face. you are beautiful J”
Arya “ Thanx Ragav! ”
Ragav “Don’t blush Arya… ”
Arya “How do you know that I’m blushing?”
It was time to break the ice and bring all the feelings in front her, thinking this would be perfect moment to say the truth he typed

“You Hide anything ... I’ll find it… You hide anywhere... I’ll find you… I know your feelings ... I can sense your feelings because I LIKE YOU..” and sent.

Arya “Awww… from when??”
Ragav “since day one I met you !! J ”
Arya “Hmmmm…”

A "hmmm" is a filler in the texting language and is considered most irritating reply in this century    which could mean a multiple things depending on the situation. “A reply should be proper/understandable, for hmmm sound is made by Bees too”. This leaves multiple vague questions “is she ignoring me?” “does she like me?” “may be she in love with someone else”
Getting the best possibility in mind he typed again  
 Ragav “ but do you like me??”

Arya “Yes…”

This was it. There was no looking back. This gave him a feeling of joy that he had never felt before.

CHAPTER 10 : Fault in 'my' stars...

The whole HOD lecture for Ragav seemed to be uninteresting as he was unable to stop thinking about the Arya. Next was the mathematics lecture by Sneha Mam. He was still unable to do the calculations as his mind was still on his dream girl. Sneha Mam caught Ragav for his absence of mind in class “Ragav tell the answer of 6th problem “
Ragav getting the unexpected question arrow shot from his favourite teacher made him fumble “Hmmm…. Hmmm... Mam the answer is sin30…”
The whole class burst into laughter, sensing the situation he asked Akki “hey dude what’s the answer ??”
Akki “Freak there are only 5 question!”
Ragav got the situation and he was totally embarrassed, he had to gulp that situation.   
Sneha Mam angrily “Ragav where is your attention??”
Ragav “Hmm …Mam.. Sorry Mam...” not knowing wha to say.
Sneha Mam “Meet me after the lecture!!!”   
Sometimes it’s better to get the scolding from your favourite teacher to remind you about getting in wrong direction of your path. 

Returning to the hostel Ragav’s phone beeped with a Message from Arya
“I will KILL you.. You should have waited for me at the gate before going to lecture”
Ragav. “Ha yes .. you are the only one remaining to kill me!”
Arya “ hehe .was joking … why what happened ??”
Ragav”Sneha Mam caught me in lecture for not concentrating in class”
Arya “Good.. better for you! :-P   
Ragav “And the whole credit goes to you dear.”
Arya “me??y??”
With taking all the courage he typed “because I was thinking about you Arya and I LOVE YOU “
But something held the last three magical word and he edited the text “because I was thinking about you…” and sent the text.
5 mins No reply… 10 Mins No reply. Getting a reply from your crush on important topic is like a timebomb you will neva know whether it will blow or will get diffused at last minute and cause you no harm. Tension grew at Ragavs end.. with thoughts coming up in his mind like “did she got angry??” “she may be busy!” “should I call her?” “message pack may be exhausted”
Finally after waiting for dreadful 28 mins Ragavs Phone beeped
“hey sorry went for dinner. what were you saying?”
Ragav “hmm neva mind .. btw when r v gng 2 meet?”
Arya “When all your stars in your horoscope are at your side then you may get lucky ! :P ” 
Ragav ..”ya real soon J“
God created a Male and Female, an intelligent human being found mathematics. Mathematics and understanding girl go hand in hand, with one single wrong step the whole output goes in wrong direction. Even the scholar says “You will never know what secrets are hiding behind that powerful mind”. And sometimes girls really tend to hide their true feelings. Ragav thought “maybe she is hiding something from me else she would have replied to that message?!” . 

Next Day: Civil practical
Students are blessed with Civil practical to roam in college campus with raging rods, dumpy level and telescope instruments used for practical. Every time the students get a new task to get the readings at new location inside campus. These practical turn out to be more interesting when you have real love for civil engineering else you use this practical to get done with the readings and complete the journals. Also the best part is sightseeing for newbie in college campus. Civil engineers always believe in reading and this is first step to become a civil engineer rest other than civil has to bear the subject.
Ragav and Akki were in same batch and helping each other with the readings.  Ragav didn’t had the mood to do the work as he was still thinking about Arya and her message… “when all your stars are at your side…”
Akki seeing the dull behaviour asked Ragav “Dude are you ok? You seemed to be out of coverage area since yesterday? ”
Ragav coming out of his thoughts “ hmm yaa.. I’m fine .. ”
Akki “There’s something you are hiding.. is it about Arya??”
Ragav “Common dude.. its nothing about her!!”
Akki “okkiee !! cool !! ”

 Now it was Ragavs turn to get the reading , he got the two reading then suddenly he felt something and tilted the dummpy to the window of building next to the reading pole. He saw the same beauty again!!This time she was in the class attending the lecture and taking the notes with small breeze through her face. While writing something in notebook her silk like hairs fell in front of her eyes, which was disturbing her from writing. She untied her hairs and did some pony style and tucked them with the pencil. All these lovely miracle was being witnessed by Ragav with beating like a drummer, Thanx to dummy level giving every detail of the magic! Everyone around him sensed something was wrong and shouted back “Hey Ragav!! Common get the readings…”.
But Ragav had a plan another plan “Hey guiz go for short break il get the reading myself”
Every batch mate was happy with his announcement and went for a break but Akki knew there was something going on with this boy, how can a person have such a sudden change in the behaviour??  
Akki “Ragav give me 100 bucks” Ragav gave him without hesitation, it is true that boy losses his mind and money when the thing is about his crush.  
Ragav Texted Arya “looking beautiful… like an Angle!”
Arya took her phone beneath her desk, read the message with a smile on her face and replied back
“Hey Mr Ragav… go flirt with another gal  :P and its Angel not ANGLE :D”
Ragav “ opps ! my bad… c I evn don’t know spelling bez I never used it before for any gal.. just said the truth and I’m getting addicted to you baby!” still heart beating to its maximum he sent the message. Arya again checked the phone, read the message and this time she was smiling like that message touched her heart!

After returning from the canteen everyone was shocked to see all the readings done by Ragav which were correct when examined later. Phil Collins quoted the true lines “Love can make you do things that you never thought possible”
Ragav was still gazing at the window and smiling.
Akki “Bro! why you smiling?”
Ragav “Get Lost dude! There’s nothing” still hiding the happiness.  Akki had a doubt, to clear the doubt he took the dummy level and viewed through the scope towards the building.
Akki “There’s nothing in that building Ragav!” still confused.
Ragav “I told you! now common let’s go to canteen... I’ll give you treat”
Mix the felling of love in the engineering, you will never find anything that’s not interesting

CHAPTER 9: She Smiled... He Smiled...

Getting home after long time Is like a prisoner on a parole for few days. The house you have lived in for decade where you have all the best moments, memories comes back and  gives you a flash back. The family members welcome you like a guest, entertaining you with all type of special food item. Ragav’s Mom used to prepare him all best dishes just name it. Chicken biryani was the favorite for Ragav. You feel like a Solder just returned from Indo-Pak border.
An engineer never stops working even if he’s asleep the unconscious mind will be active and doing the calculations or recalling the formulas. Sure the Engineers brain never stops working. Assignments are the like the Soul mates for an Engineering student. Where ever you go you have the assignments pages and the pen with you. If you are sincere enough to write the assignments on your own then you carry the 5 Kg Books with you else you have someone’s others assignments, just COPY + PASTE. This seems better option but this fails when you copy a wrong assignment and you get caught by your subject teacher. The worst thing is when the whole class copies the same assignment and the whole class is being caught. There’s a true saying that even a “Cheater should have brains to cheat without getting caught. You keep on writing and do the others chores simultaneously.
Humans are considered as most advanced animal. And with the invent of Facebook and other social networking sites are considered the boosters to any relationship. Just name the person and the next moment you are chatting with the same. Thanks to Mark Zuckerberg the millionaire college dropout and his FACEBOOK, it helped Ragav at the initiation step. Surfing at facebook Ragav thought to search for Arya …
Without second thought he typed the name in search box... “ARYA”
And the next he saw many profiles named ARYA. Its common thing that there will be 100s of ARYA around you then how to find the correct one?  One of the Profile showed “2 Mutual Friends” and there was her cute DP with her cute face smiling at Ragav. BULLS EYE!!
There was no wasting time in thinking he clicked the send Request button and the rest story is getting to convert into great history…  
 Theres no other great feeling when your crush accepts your friend request . the next step was the initiation chat … Never show the eagerness to talk with your crush else things can go in wrong direction and your crush will end up thinking that you are just like other pervert trying to flirt.
Ragav typed “Did you reached home safely?”
Arya “ yes I reached home J”
Ragav “Good…”
Arya “I dint knew that you take the same bus”
Ragav “I was at the right place and at right time yesterday ;-) “
Arya “still a good coincidence … “
Ragav “ we should get along some day.. why don’t we exchange the numbers?”
There was silence for 2 mins no reply from her, and the thoughts “will she reject the offer?” “what if she says no?” “is this the end?”
Then the screen poped ..
Arya “ yea .. 814****”
This was it he passed his first test got the number of his crush…
Ragav “ ohh thanx will message you whenever I’m going home “
Arya “ ya sure J”
This changed everything for Ragav, life now looked more beautiful around him and the song played in background “ Pehla Nasha Pehla Khumar… Naya Pyar hai…” with Agapornis birds also called Love Birds chirping around his ears. This was perfect moment for him but the things were different on other side.
Returning to college the first thing on Ragav’s mind was to meet his dream girl again face to face. He didn't had any clue how and where to meet her in college because he wanted to make it special as it was first meeting in college. After getting ready and done with dressing up he texted Arya.. “Hey hi .. Lets meet today in college if you are not busy?”
Arya.. “ya sure vl meet in mid break at 11..”
Ragav “ok no problem J”
Eagerly waiting for her at college corridor during break Ragav texted Arya … “ Girls are always late …”
Arya “ Stop crying like a baby I’m on my way..”
Ragav “ May be next time.. got to go HODs lecture…”
Arya “ Huhhh.. Good luck with your lecture”
Ragav still waited for her , what’s the point of attending the lecture when your mind is outside the class searching for her. Just about he turned to class he saw a girl in pink Punjabi dress walking with elegance. The beauty on her face was eyes catching. The white matching duppata was waving in cool morning breeze. Just she was about to step on the stairs the book fell from her hand. She picked the book with her one hand with other hand she tucked the two hair strands that fell on her cute face perfectly. All these time Ragav just stood there memorizing every detail of her moments forgetting about the HODs lecture. 
He texted her again “Looking Beautiful…!!”
Arya…” Where are you ??”
Ragav… “ Just around you..”
Arya…” Don’t play games…else I’m going..”
He dint reply. She continued walking to her class and Ragav stood there watching his dream girl go. Sometimes it’s better to watch the rhythmic beauty when you have less guts to talk. She passed Ragav and was about to enter into her class, she turned back and saw Ragav smiling at her. She recognized him and waved her hand. Ragav was struck, he waved her back. Ragav thought “What a Romantic meeting.. Love at first sight”. But he was unaware of the things he was getting into…

CHAPTER 8 February: Life Full Of Surprises....

The life of an engineer is always with full of surprises. Sometimes the person gets into deep troubled thoughts and the next moment the feeling at the top of world just like an A.C current. You don’t need to go for at the amusement park for thrill ride and fun “Engineering” will get you everything what you need.
After the unit test Ragav got a chance to go home. A fresher staying away from home will always look for a window of opportunity to go home. He packed his bags then he left to stand, he usually would get 4:30 PM bus and also it was convenient for him to get home. As he was Anxiously waiting for the bus on the bus stand he saw a girl sitting next to his chair in the waiting room. With tied scarf around her face was talking on the phone. God knows why these girls try to hide their beauty behind 1mm thin cloth. When the bus arrived Ragav got his bags and started to board the bus. When the whole busy passenger crowd was busy in boarding the bus he saw that she was inquiring about her reservation seat with the conductor of same bus. Before entering into the bus Ragav heard part of the conversation between them “Seat No 14”. luckily Ragav got Seat No 17 the whole vacant seat the other side to 14. Still he wasn’t concerned about the “The Girl in Scarf”.
When a person is hit with the boredom he tries everything to get rid from it. One best solution is reading Novels. As the Journey begun Ragav tried to read “3 Mistakes of Life” which was one of famous novel among the youngsters at that time. As he was Deep in thoughts and into reading book conductor arrived to get the tickets. Ragav took the ticket and when “The Girl in Scarf” was giving her ticket the scarf fell from her face and Bingo a familiar face Ragav was eager to see there she was … “Arya”...
This turned out to be the most unexpected surprise of his life. Sometimes luck doesn’t play all the role the fate of the person matters a lot and today everything was at his side. With this distracted thought he pretended to read the book but he couldn’t. Holding the book upside down and pretending to read the book he made up his mind “Dude, this is it I should talk to her”.
After 3 hrs of journey the bus stopped at a dhaba for dinner. As every passenger was leaving for the dinner he saw she was talking on the phone with face resting on the side bars. “She is beautiful” Ragav thought in his mind when he was trying to get glimpse of her face in low dim bus light. He waited and after she ended her call then asked.
“Arya you want something?? Should I get you something??”
With the sleepy face and surprised eyes she tried to recognize the Ragavs face.
“No you don’t know me I’m Ragav I was in your division for two weeks when our college started.”
“Ohh … no thank you I am not hungry right now”
“OK”
Good Start for a guy… After the dinner Ragav came back to his seat.
Arya “where you gonna get down”
Ragav “2 stops after the ghat area”
“okk”
Arya “Do you wanna share my seat? I guess there’s no one”
Ragav “I think  there’s a bag under your seat may be someone got down for dinner”
Arya “Ohh …”
Though it was 2 mins conversation it was better than nothing. Ragav was thinking about the conversation he just had with Araya. But one think struck his head very hard. “She was asking you to sit beside her but seat was occupied, then you could have called her to your seat Dumb!! What a waste!!”
Before getting down at his stop he saw Arya was sleeping. So he didn’t bother to wake her up to say good bye. Getting down the bus taking the bags in hand he started walking towards his house. But this time he felt something different and he looked back at the Bus. And there she was waving her hand saying good bye. Yes, that was it. She noticed him and waved him good bye. YUREKA! this was the milestone for the Ragav and a stepping stone of his amazing Engineering story…
